Parent Classes
Group sessions teach effective methods and proven strategies to promote speech and language development as you interact with your child at home and during everyday activities. Early Life Speech & Language courses are taught by certified speech-language pathologists and are scheduled regularly throughout the year. We encourage parents, grandparents, caregivers or anyone in regular contact with your child to attend. There is no charge for any of these classes.

Through lecture, group discussion, videotaping and individualized home assignments, parents:

  • Learn critical techniques to promote speech and language development;
  • Understand the most powerful ways to help children communicate;
  • Effectively use everyday conversations, daily routines and play for language development;
  • Support a child’s speech therapy and academic programs.
