Early Life Speech & Language, formerly RiteCare of Washington, is proud to be one of 178 speech-language therapy clinics, centers and other programs founded and supported in part by the Scottish Rite Masons in the United States.

The Scottish Rite is a branch of freemasonry with chapters worldwide. There are approximately 550,000 Scottish Rite Masons in the U.S. This secular group is a fraternal and charitable organization for men; members are dedicated to promoting strong bonds among fellow Masons, and identifying and supporting areas of need in local communities.

In the early 1950s, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, USA, initiated a program in Denver, Colorado to help children with speech and language disorders. The success of this program led to the establishment of RiteCare clinics nationwide as an official charitable endeavor of the group. Today, there are RiteCare clinics, centers, and special programs operating or planned for children and therapists in 38 states to provide diagnostic assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders for children with significant communication delays.
